London Has Fallen: Movie Review

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

The British Prime Minister has passed away, and his funeral is a must-attend for important world leaders. However, the farewell event is just a big ambush site, and the US President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart) is the primary target of the dangerous terrorist attack. Soon, Secret Service Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) is all the line of defense left for the president and he must find a way to get help before its too late.

The sequel to"Olympus Has Fallen" have reached new heights bringing the action to London. The story is quite ridiculous, dumb and cliched but the action is far too exciting and thrilling for the fans of this genre. The film is loaded with non-stop hard-hitting action sequences that we first enjoyed on the previous installment. Some of the scenes aren't polished enough and look outdated, especially when the bombings were made but the style and creativity of the gunfights are enjoyable, especially with Gerard Butler knowing how to be fun again.

We miss Director Antoine Fuqua, but Director Babak Najafi manages to seal the deal in replicating the same formula that made the first film a success. We still got the charismatic Mike Banning played by Gerard Butler, who knows how to deliver. He and Aaron Eckhart know exactly what they need to do and seems to enjoy what they are doing all across London facing a lot of terrorists they would love to put down for good.

Overall, London Has Fallen prepared what you've ordered for a jaw-dropping sequel. It might be senseless and crazy at times, but it is on a full blast in giving a decent action flick. Olympus still reigns supreme but London is a worth-it continuation of this potential trilogy franchise.
