Love is Blind: Movie Review

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

We believe you already saw the trailer of Regal Film's latest offering "Love is Blind" which stars Derek Ramsay, Solenn Heussaff, Kean Cipriano and Kiray Celis. If the trailer already catches your attention; well, we can tell that you'll more fun watching the entire film on its opening day.

We attended the red carpet screening of Love is Blind last Friday night at SM Megamall. The jam-packed cinema was filled with laughter throughout the screening. With unlikely pairing, the cast did the trick to bring entertainment value up to the highest level. The film didn't have a dull moment and gave out a ton of surprises that will definitely caught you off guard.  The story is pretty simple, a bit flawed and rushed, but definitely they know how to deliver big time throughout.

Fe (Kiray Celis) is a hopeless romantic intern who had lost faith, whether if can still find the love of her life.  Out of desperation, she enlists the help of Yari (Kean Cipriano) to make a love potion, so she can be the apple of the eye of their hotel guest Wade (Derek Ramsay), who is attending a conference at the hotel. Soon,  her plan worked as every time Wade sees her, Wade thinks she is a carbon copy of her girlfriend Maggie (Solenn Heussaff). Will Fe finally get what she always wanted or will her plan backfire and break her heart one more time?
This film is definitely a big break for Kiray Celis. You can see her mostly as a side dish in different shows and movies but this time she's the one who carries the load in making this film enjoyable. Good thing that his leading men (Kean Cipriano and Derek Ramsay) are up to the challenge in bringing out their quirky personality. We also saw a very lively Solenn Heussaff that added more ingredients to an already ensemble cast.

Overall, Love is Blind is a fun and wacky film for you to watch and celebrate your Valentines Day with or without a date. We totally recommend this film if you want to laugh and release your stress while watching a comedy movie that will surely entertain you from start to finish.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 9 out of 10 stars
