Extraction: Movie Review

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

CIA agent Leonard Turner (Bruce Willis) got his wife killed in front of his son at home during one of his failed missions. Years later, his son Harry (Kellan Lutz) also joined the CIA in order to avenge his mother, but he hasn't got any luck to get into the field. However, when Leonard was kidnapped by the terrorist after he stole a dangerous telecom-hacking device. Harry tries to put himself in the case to save his father and put his skills on the test.

Extraction is another action film that tries to sell by putting Bruce Willis as their main star. The problem is Bruce Willis only plays as a cameo and doesn't do anything but to sit and wait for his paycheck. Another thing is that the film suffers a lot within its cliched and messy plot. If you're looking forward to the bone-crunching action scenes; well,  there isn't much for you to cheer about.

The film also struggles with the poor acting of their cast. Kellan Lutz doesn't have great qualities to be a believable action star. Gina Carano also feels a bit lost and of course Bruce Willis is a sitting duck and an awesome decoration on their fancy poster.

Overall, Extraction is a lazy action lackluster thriller. It seems that Bruce Willis has lost his touch and appeal in making quality action moves. There isn't much to see here as the film is forgettable in a span of 30 minutes. It doesn't have a lot to offer, and it's pretty clear that this film will just waste your time.
