Pressure: Movie Review

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

The film is about four deep-sea oil-pipe engineers (Danny Huston, Matthew Goode, Joe Cole and Alan McKenna). They need to fix an oil pipe below the ocean surface. However, when the storm sinks the boat with the rest of the crew above the four is left out to solve a difficult problem. Running out of time and oxygen, they must find a way to contact some help before their time is out.

Pressure has a very interesting premise. However, it can't fully commit and reach the extent of its maximum potential. They cannot sustain the thrills nor the excitement of the claustrophobic atmosphere. You can't feel any sympathy for the characters as you wouldn't care if they make it or not.  The cast were terrific but has a little room to operate. They can't seem to find their range because of the given material.

Overall, Pressure is a wasted opportunity. If they have inserted a bit more energy and excitement into the whole film, then this might turned out better than this one.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 4.5 out of 10 stars
