Sword of Vengeance: Movie Review

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

An unnamed man (Stanley Weber) seeks revenge on his father's murderer - his uncle Earl Durant (Karel Roden.) In order for his plan to succeed, he gains the trust of some villagers who also have the same enemy. They might be outnumbered but with a skilled warrior leading their way, they course into the dangerous battleground and fight on his side.

Three of the six films that will be released this week are action films all set in medieval era. Sword of Vengeance is one of them, which is carried by its stylish visuals. It is grey shaded throughout and doesn't complicate things as it has a thin story to revolve around. The film relied heavily on its slow-mo scenes. At first, it looked so cool, especially during the sword fights but became tiring with its constant use. All the characters are pretty generic but Stanley Weber is pretty convincing as the lead star.

Overall Sword of Vengeance is an average action flick.  It's pretty plain and simple but with the excessive use of slow-motion scenes, some viewers might get pissed off. For us, we don't mind as long as we are entertained and don't get bored. With the film having a limited budget; it is decent enough for us to burn our excess time.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 5.5 out of 10 stars
