Jurassic World: Movie Review

By: Matt Suzara

Jurassic Park is considered as one of the best films directed by Steven Speilberg and after 22 years Isla Nublar re-opens. Now, with an upgraded facility, more dinosaurs and an unstoppable force to bring thrills and nostalgic effect we all experienced before.

John Hammond's dream is now a reality in Jurassic World: a fully operational theme park with inventive attractions, cool rides and a chance to have interactions with the dinosaurs. With the park expanding chief executive Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), needs to introduce their newest creation; The Indominus Rex, a vicious hybrid dinosaur. She requested the help of dino-trainer Owen Brady (Chris Pratt) to check if they can already launch it soon. However, the creature is too smart on what they expected and escaped. With thousands of people inside the park; Claire and Owen must think of a way to stop it before it creates havoc and kills innocent lives.

While the two sequels are completely forgettable; Jurassic World takes us to the same experience the first time we saw the dinosaurs light up the big screen. The film is really remarkable by having a gorgeous backdrop, innovative ideas for the new look of the park and awesome take on its new dinosaurs (Indominus Rex and Mosasaurus.) For us, it is a total package. With an upgrade of visuals and amazing shots of human and dinosaur encounters plus a fast-paced story; it will make all your hard-earned money worth it at the end of it.

The film lacks in originality but handled really well so there is nothing for you to complain. It is fun thrilling and exciting all the same time. The cast did a pretty nice job in making all of the puzzle piece work. Chris Pratt is a likable actor who always tries his best to make his character appreciated just like what he did in "The Guardians of Galaxy."  He brings in the charm and humor but much smarter this time around. Bryce Dallas Howard is also great as Claire making an entertaining pair to root for.

Overall, Jurassic World delivers and sinks in more teeth in bringing back the spirit of the original movie. It captures the same vibe but with a different set of tricks for you to enjoy. It is a blockbuster attraction that will remind you on why you should watch a movie inside the theater.
