Shaun The Sheep The Movie: Movie Review

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

The regular seven-minute popular TV show program is heading towards the silver screen. British animation, Aardman who also brought us Chicken Run in 2000 gives us their latest stop-motion masterpiece in Shaun the Sheep The Movie.

Shaun is fed up of his daily routine in life, so he decided to take a day off and have some fun. However, he overcooked his simple plan and sent the Farmer to travel all the way to the city and to make things worst he seems to lose all his memory. Soon, after the mess he created boils down to Shaun; he and the whole flock decided to take matters on their own hands and find the Farmer, so they can all return safely at home.

Shaun the Sheep is really a tough sell, but this animation is a gem as the film lives through it color and style. The stop-motion animation really requires dedication and patience throughout the entire process. With the whole duration of the film settling without words' ala Charlie Chaplin era but with color; it's a complete delight from start to finish.

Animation nowadays is a complete wizardry with the help of our technology. Pixar and Dreamworks animation easily attracts youngsters through the charm and appeal of the characters while Shaun the Sheep provides a great material with a lot of heart plus an effective storytelling. The film didn't need to be flashy or to be too complicated to work as it settles down on to the basic formula to be entertaining.

Overall, Shaun the Sheep the Movie is charming and appealing all throughout. It is a one-of-a-kind animation that will surely bring delight to not only the young children but also to its adult audience. The simplicity of the whole film is just enough and worth for the price of admission.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 9 out of 10 stars
