Miss Meadows: Movie Review

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

Katie Holmes stars as the sweet looking substitute teacher, Miss Meadows who occasionally tap dances in her charming outfit while reading her favorite book. She is a well-mannered person, but she won't hesitate to pull the trigger of her short caliber pistol to anyone who may cause trouble within her community. However, she must cover her tracks as she is courted by a local sheriff (James Badge Dale) who is hunting for the mysterious vigilante.

"Toodle-oo," Miss Meadows favorite line played very-well by Katie Holmes, who effortlessly dances her way to keep this film watchable. She offers enough depth into his colorful ala "Ms. Poppins" character and brings the level of sanity in manageable level. However, the story is too simple and short. It fails to extract more options out of the already interesting Miss Meadows, and maybe it might be better if they added more action scenes to spark it up a little.

Overall, Miss Meadows is a half-baked film that still had a lot room to explore. Katie Holmes is a gem in it, but it is really difficult to hide the emptiness in it. It has some moments but really doesn't go anywhere even with a sharp aim by Miss Meadows herself.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 4.5 out of 10 stars
