Exists: Movie Review

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

Exists really has an interesting premise, a great-looking poster and an outstanding director who made one of the most terrifying horror film in The Blair Witch Project. However, there is no inspiration in his latest work and make the matter worst is he used the already tired found footage horror flick.

A group of friends decided to take an adventure of their own and make YouTube videos. However, on their way to a remote cabin deep in the woods; they hit something unusual, which followed them into their destination. It destroyed their car, trapped them in the middle of the forest and hunted them one by one to take revenge.

The film suffers from the lazy found footage technique. It is mostly dark, where in you won't be able to see on what is happening on the screen. It is also a bit shaky that you may want to turn your head away from the screen. All the characters are disposable and no memorable of deaths that you can look forward to. Their decisions are pretty stupid, and they are just simply waiting for their death to arrive.

Overall, Exists failed in different aspects in providing a decent horror flick. It made us wish that this film didn't existed in the first place.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 3 out of 10 stars
