Vice: Movie Review

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

It seems like Bruce Willis is enjoying making some crappy action movies where he wouldn't exert some effort in earning his paycheck. He returns on the big screen teaming up with Thomas Jane (The Punisher) and Ambyr Childers (2 Guns) in science-fiction action film "Vice."

Vice is a futuristic resort run by CEO Julian Michaels (Bruce Willis) where human clones exist for the rich and powerful people to fulfill their darkest fantasies legally. However, when an artificial clone (Ambyr Childers) starts remembering things and escapes the resort, she finds herself struggling against Julian's mercenaries and a cop (Thomas Jane) who wants to shut down Vice once and for all.

The film really has an interesting premise but didn't quite have the idea to expand it into a more engrossing way. It mostly settles into a run and gun pace but with limited action and non-thrilling events. The setting is too dim where it looked like they just shot it in an abandoned warehouse to lessen their expenses. The cast also feels bored in what they do and don't give justice to their roles.

Overall, Vice is too ambitious yet, lazily written and poorly done. It is gloomy throughout, dull and boring.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 3 out of 10 stars
