The Imitation Game: Movie Review

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

The Imitation Game is based on the true story of cryptanalyst Alan Turning (Benedict Cumberbatch) who took the greatest challenge of his life - to crack the Nazi code called Enigma and shorten the World War II. He is usually self-centered and hated by his co-code breaker team led by Hugh Alexander (Matthew Goode.) However, everything changes when he found himself taking charge and with the help of his newest recruit, Joan Clarke (Keira Knightly.) Soon, they all find themselves in the same page where they try to do the unimaginable and break the Enigma.

The film is really interesting and tells the story in a compelling way. It takes us back in time and see the work of  a brilliant man that definitely made a huge impact in history. The cast made the bio-pic more precise with Benedict Cumberbatch delivering a solid overall performance. He allows the viewers to see the different sides of Alan Turning from his frustrations up to his triumph. The supporting cast also did a remarkable job in portraying their roles, especially Keira Knightly and Matthew Goode.

Overall, The Imitation Game is impressive because of the screen presence of Benedict Cumberbatch. He deserves the nomination and wouldn't be surprised if he wins the Award at the Oscars.
