Short Reviews: Love, Rosie - Before I Go To Sleep - Seventh Son

By: Lakwatsera Lovers

Love, Rosie

We were lucky enough to catch Love, Rosie in cinemas last Tuesday. We weren't disappointed as the film finds its own charm, even it is predictable and cliched. Sam Claflin and Lily Collins provides a palpable chemistry that carries the movie even though a bumpy storyline. The two are really fun to watch and creates a unique pairing that deserves another rom-com team-up in the future. Love, Rosie is one of the best rom-com films released in a short while, and we are glad to see some of the cinemas extend it for another week.

Before I Go To Sleep

The film has an interesting premise. It creates a thrilling 50 First Dates like plot with Nicole Kidman selling her character well. However, the twist is a bit frustrating as they didn't capitalize into it after it was revealed. It could have offered more on the table, and it should have been better.

Seventh Son

The film is filled with cliches as we feel we've seen Seventh Son a long time ago. It has some decent visuals but rushed storyline, especially the unsatisfying battle in the end. It has an abundant of talent who isn't utilized well and just seems not interested enough in what they do.
