Snow White and The Huntsman: Movie Review

Snow White and The Huntsman
By: Lakwatsera Lovers

The second Snow White movie adaptation is now on theaters featuring Charlize Theron as the evil queen, Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman and Kristine Stewart as Snow White. Two opposite adaptation in which in this film shows a much intriguing storyline and much imaginative CGI effects.

When the Queen died, the King was enchanted by the beauty of Queen Ravena which decided him to marry her but on their wedding night the King was poisoned and murdered. The evil queen took over the castle and locked out Snow White in the stone tower. When Queen Ravena found out that Snow White is the key to her immortality he ordered her brother to get her. Soon Snow White escaped and the queen ordered a huntsman to retrieve her in the enchanted forest. With the help of the huntsman Snow White will now plan and seek revenge to vanquish the evil queen.

If you think you've seen enough of fairytale turned into movie adaptation, well think again. In this newest Snow White film gave it's viewers a lot good moments that really brought out an entertaining storyline. With a good stellar cast including a wonderful performance by Charlize Theron convincingly took care of the role of the evil queen. She is a scene stealer with her astonishing costumes and brilliant effects whenever she is sight. She draws the sympathy from the viewers while she is struggling to to get that undying beauty. On the other hand Kristen Stewart can't seem to get out on her Bella Swan image because in some parts of the movie we still feel watching Twilight and thinking that Edward might pop out of nowhere. While Chris Hemsworth was worth watching in his rugged look as the huntsman.

Yes the dwarfs are still present, can't take them out of the story. The Mirror on the wall, the apple and a prince are all present but providing some twists that brings out some freshness to the plot. Though the chemistry and romance between the leads were barely felt the adventure and decent actions scenes pulled it through. The effects was just outstanding with brilliant creatures really adapting into a fantasy atmosphere even shrinking some actors into dwarf size was incredible.

Overall it's a really entertaining movie with such great actors in it. The magical tale of Snow White lives on with new things you can really appreciate all throughout the movie.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 8 out of 10 stars.

Piranha 3DD: Movie Review

Piranha 3DD
By: Lakwatsera Lovers

After a so-so Piranha 3D (2010) remake, a sequel is made with a hot looking poster and a catchy double DD title. With a ridiculous trailer don't take the film seriously as the horror genre became much more a comedy film instead.

One year after a disastrous events that happened in Lake Victoria, where many people lost their lives from the attack of the flesh eating piranhas. By the lake a water park called "Big Wet" will open on the public to consolidate the tragic happenings last year. But when Maddy (Danielle Panabaker) was attacked by piranhas in the lake she knew that something was wrong and the public in the newly open park will be in danger.

Honestly we love watching gore films but in Piranha 3DD the comical storyline ruined it with a lot of impossible scenes that will make you scratch your head. In addition to that the film was butchered badly as a lot of scenes was removed making the film too short to enjoy. The script was terrible and the film is just a funny parody of the 80's classic Piranha movies. Some scenes will make you dizzy because of the 3D glasses we think that this film would be much better without the glasses. On the positive end we loved the cameo of David Hasselhoff as he did a spoof of Baywatch which really entertained us.

Overall Piranha 3DD doesn't live out with it's title. If you hate the first installment of this film you'll just hate this even more. It still provided a lot of cheap excitement though were not going to pay 300 pesos to see this in 3D. Better wait this film on DVD as the uncut version would be most likely good than the version in big screen. Lastly, (spoiler) the ending is pretty darn stupid as the piranhas are evolving and they now learning to walk.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 3 out of 10 stars

Men In Black 3: Movie Review

Men in Black 3
By: Lakwatsera Lovers

It's been a decade since the last Men in Black movie and a four year absence for Will Smith since we last saw him in Seven Pounds. Agent K and Agent J are back to save the earth from space creatures and restore peace from aliens and humans.

Alien convict, Boris the Animal escapes from prison and returns to earth to get back to Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) for the loss of his arm. There he jump back to 1969 and killed him. While Agent J (Will Smith) found out that with his partner gone he needs to travel back in time and prevent Boris from killing K. But with some instances along the way he is forced to team up with a younger version of Agent K (Josh Brolin) and discover a lot of secrets that K is hiding from him. Together the two pursuit Boris to prevent him to rewrite the history and save planet earth.

The movie started well with hyped up scenes and interesting visuals effects. Being a fan of the series we think it is a little too late to make another sequel of MIB as Tommy Lee Jones is  too old for these kind of films but with the addition of Josh Brolin we realize that the franchise still have the same excitement and aura. The mannerisms and the tone of the voice was portrayed well making a carbon copy of a much younger Agent K. He did an excellent job making audiences feel that we are watching Tommy Lee Jones in his thirties. He also build up a nice partnership with Will Smith that is totally enjoyable.

It is like Men in Black meets Back to the Future which has it's moments with the 1969 era that was made perfectly with the setting and production design. The chemistry between Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones never gets tired as the two are fun to watch in their black suits and space guns. The plot also goes well sticking to the previous films which also has an emotional twist in the end.

Overall Men in Black III is a must watch movie specially with your friends who want to reminisce the film. It's also cool to bring your kids along as they might enjoy the special effects and the looks of crafty aliens. The spirit and the entertainment value from the previous films are retained and a remarkable job by Josh Brolin.

Three emerging Filipino artists lead Singapore concert

Three emerging Filipino artists
lead Singapore concert

THREE emerging Filipino artists—a singer-composer, a boy band, and an acoustic princess—were chosen to lead one of the biggest Filipino independence day celebrations in the island state of Singapore this June.

The sentimental prince of Philippine music Myrus, foremost Filipino boy band 1:43, and acoustic artist Princess Velasco will be performing their latest hits, as well as covers of popular Original Pilipino Music (OPM), in a rare musical festival titled “Philippines: One World Concert 2012” on June 10 at The Coliseum of the posh Hard Rock Hotel in Resorts World, Singapore.

Our three banner talents namely Myrus, 1:43 and Princess Velasco represent the next wave of global Filipino artists. Their songs showcase how comparable OPM is to the music of the world,” says Singaporean director Jaden Zanders of Jaz-E Entertainment, the concert organizer.

The concert aims to attract the three artists’ growing fan base in Singapore—including the OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) population—and in the rest of Southeast Asia.

We expect a lot of Singaporeans to watch the show. We heard that there are even Malaysian and Indonesian fans that are flying here and buying tickets just to see them,” adds Zanders.

Gold Record singer-composer Myrus recently released his second all-original album titled “Wanted” under Viva Records featuring his radio and YouTube hit “Pusong Lito.” He is an Awit Awards nominee for Best New Male Recording Artist in 2010, an ASAP 24K Awardee in 2009, and the head of an OPM advocacy program called “Tunog Natin.”

Myrus’ latest single “Pusong Lito” has gained a great deal of following online; it also became No. 1 in many radio stations in Greater Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Lucena, Cagayan de Oro, and Cotabato. The song’s rising popularity was aided by its initial release in over 450 Mang Inasal stores, as part of the Mang Inasal Mang Aawit Music Advocacy Campaign.

The OPM pop heartthrobs of 1:43, composed of Anjo Resurreccion, Gold Aquino, Kim Nicolas, and Yuki Sakamoto, have delivered the biggest love song of the season with their radio and YouTube monster hit song “Sa Isang Sulyap Mo.” The song is also a part of the Mang Inasal Mang Aawit Music Advocacy Campaign and was composed by Myrus.

Sa Isang Sulyap Mo,” one of the soundtracks of the top-rating Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition 4 in ABS-CBN, has been topping the charts of most radio stations nationwide as well as in the Pinoy Myx Countdown. Its official music video and its reposts as well as lyrics videos have garnered over five million Youtube views so far. Likewise, it is one of the best-selling OPM songs online today according to

Meanwhile, Vicor Music’s Princess Velasco is one of the most brilliant acoustic artists today. With gold record albums under her name, she is a regular member of the group “Sessionistas” in the Sunday variety show ASAP in ABS-CBN.

Filipino fans are encouraged to support these three emerging, acclaimed Filipino artists as they showcase OPM to Asia and the world, in a concert that celebrates the Filipinos’ fervor for freedom and Filipino musical artistry.

DVD Review: Intruders

DVD Review: Intruders
By: Lakwatsera Lovers

A horror movie that suppose to be scary but failed big time as the two story in it fell apart. Can't seem to imagine at first why it was not shown here in cinemas, after watching it we realize that Intruders is one of those crappy horror flicks that will waste your time and money.

In the 1980s, Juan (Izan Corchero) is a young boy with an active imagination and a talent for writing stories. However, he is being terrorized by a strange creature that lurks in his room late at night and doesn't seem to have a face. Juan's mother Luisa (Pilar Lopez de Ayala) is skeptical at first, but comes to believe demonic forces are at work and asks a local priest (Daniel Bruehl) to chase the spirits out. However, it soon becomes obvious Satan is not the one to blame for the horrible visits. Three decades later, John (Clive Owen) and Susanna (Carice van Houten) are the parents of Mia (Ella Purnell), a 13-year-old girl. John is fiercely protective of his daughter, and when she's attacked in her room late one night, he's determined to find whoever or whatever is responsible. As it happens, Mia is being visited by Hollowface, a monster similar to the one who was stalking Juan, and he's just as difficult to frighten away.

It's a shame that Clive Owen is in the film, the movie should at least make some few thrills and excitement. I almost fell asleep at the middle of it. Overall Intruders will just confuse you in the beginning then it gets boring ending it with a surprising twist in the end.

Every Breath You Take: Movie Review

Every Breath You Take
By Lakwatsera Lovers

Star Cinema's 19th Anniversary Celebration brings you Every Breath You Take Starring two of the most promising stars, Angelica Panganiban and Piolo Pascual. With a variety of entertaining supporting casts and a brilliant director in Mae Cruz. This funny romantic movie surely will be a hit as Star Cinema's movies always sells to the Filipino audiences.

Majoy (Angelica Panganiban), always looks for a sign whenever she is making a decision especially when it comes to love. With her time is ticking up to have a baby because of ovary problems she becomes desperate in looking for Mr. Right. And then along came Leo (Piolo Pascual), a charming real estate businessman who seems to attract any girl in sight but scared to be in a serious relationship because of his family history. When their paths meet Majoy feels that Leo's the one as the signs begins to show up. Will the signs prove that they are meant for each other?

Every Breath You Take is another rom-com movie that's a little bit silly but it's really entertaining. Angelica Panganiban blooms in this film making some scenes hilarious. Imagine a moment when she is crying but that scene makes us laugh hard. She also performed well with her chemistry with Piolo Pascual who always have that charming looks and amazing body that the crowd loves. One of the best bits of the film is the supporting cast, with a range of comedians (Ketchup Eusebio, Janus Del Prado, Smokey Manaloto, Ryan Bang) and admirable actors (Joross Gamboa, Dominic Ochoa, Carlos Agassi, Ryan Eigenmann) that did terrific contribution to make the movie interesting. Though the storyline was a little bit messy and a lot of scenarios that really don't make sense. Still Every Breath you take is worth to watch because of it's enjoyable casts.

Overall the film separates itself to other rom-com movies as more goofy scenes were added to make it a much comedy genre. A risk taken that can be treated as a positive or a negative aspect but for us it relied well to the cast making the movie comical and entertaining.

What To Expect When You're Expecting: Movie Review

What To Expect When You're Expecting
By: Lakwatsera Lovers

A star studded cast almost comparable to New Years Eve and Valentines Day but in this film couples take on some challenges in their  impending parenthood. Thanks to Movie Punch once again for the advance screening tickets.

TV Fitness guru Jules (Cameron Diaz) and Evan (Matthew Morrison) try to cope up pregnancy while dealing on with their busy schedules. Baby-crazy author Wendy, (Elizabeth Banks) and husband, Gary (Ben Falcone), almost gave up after two years of trying, and then he discovered that his dad (Dennis Quaid) is having a twins on her much younger hot girlfriend (Brooklyn Decker). Photographer Holly (Jennifer Lopez) is traveling with her husband Alex (Rodrigo Santoro) to adopt a child with a lot of doubt's in their mind which leads Alex to join a roving group of dads to get some advice. While two rival chefs Rosie (Anna Kendrick) and Marco (Chace Crawford) deals some consequences from their one night stand.

What to expect when you're expecting is another book adaptation turned into a  rom-com film full of stars and funny scenes. The actors are crowd darlings as they came up good with their comical situations. Making audience feel how hard to to be a parent specially when your expecting a baby. It would be hard to get guys to watch this flick but we assure you this film is hilarious and maybe some couples can relate with the story. We enjoyed the baby jokes mostly made by Chris Rock as we missed him a lot in the big screen.

Overall, Expect a wacky fun movie and spend a night off together with your friends as the long title won't get you bored. Don't bother to read the book the film is really much fun after all. A complete package of stars, a well written script and interesting pregnancy problems will surely make a smile on your friends afterwards. Sit back, relax and see it in the big screen.

DVD Review: Wrecked

DVD Review: Wrecked
By: Lakwatsera Lovers

A man (Adrien Brody) awakens in a mangled car-wreck at the bottom of a steep cliff. Injured and trapped inside, with no memory of how he got there or who he is, he must rely on his most primal instincts to survive. But as he attempts to free himself from the carnage and escape an impossible situation, a darker side is revealed. Even if he manages to survive, the man may have to face the horrible consequences of an earlier, forgotten life.

Actually Adrien Brody is a great actor and the only reason why we decided to watch this flick. The story was plain simple, a man battling for survival inside a wrecked car in the middle of the forest. With minimized dialogues and watching him suffer all throughout  the movie is boring but it would keep you wondering what really happened to him. Some questions will linger in your mind like, Is he a a good guy or a bad guy? Why is he in the middle of the forest. Who the hell is he?  It is comparable to 127 Hours but it did not gave the same excitement and drama that 127 hours offered.

Overall a lot of people will turn off their DVD's or fast forward until the end as Wrecked was pretty much lame from the very beginning. They should have provided much a better script and more intense scenes. Still Adrien Brody provided a great acting job that keeps my finger not to touch the stop button.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 4.5 out of 10 stars

Kroketten: Fun and Healthy Potato Dutch Snacks

Kroketten: Fun and Healthy Potato Dutch Snacks

If there’s one type of carb that Filipinos have a strong penchant, that’s potato. Whether it’s mashed, fried, in a salad and soup, we so love the flavor and feel of the tiny grains that melt wonderfully in each bite.
Since snacking on potato is one of the most popular sustenance and enjoyment in the country, we introduce a unique variety that is surely yummy, appealing, and extra healthy. It’s also interesting to know that it’s made affordable for all! Introducing Kroketten, Netherland’s favorite snack as the Dutch word means a little, round ball.
“Kroketten is one of the best ways to enjoy potato—crunchy, filled with cheese and meat, while they’re deep fried in a healthy corn oil. We’re now located in twelve branches which amazingly garners an impressive response since we started operations fourth quarter of last year”, says Kroketten president/owner Maribel Bosch.
A former hotelier boasting a vast exposure to the best cuisines of the world, there’s no denying that Maribel is also an expert in the kitchen and has discerning taste buds.  Having been based overseas with her husband and kids, she discovered that croquettes deserve to be in the Philippines soon for its simple and delicious taste which she thought will appeal to all levels of people. True enough, her gut feel proved to be true as Kroketten is growing and is now trending in Manila.
For only P35 per order, Kroketten offers three varieties: Original Kroket, the original oblong shape with ground beef, chicken, and cheese; Kroketballen, by far Filipinos’ most favorite and has three pieces of crunchy potato balls which come with dips; and the miniballen, the bite sized potato balls considered best for sharing. If you plan to tweak your group’s usual snack gathering at your place, Kroketten’s potato balls are worth serving. Since the product can last days if stored properly and has the same great taste when properly reheated, Kroketten is an absolutely healthy snack that will satisfy your guests whether for private gathering or a party!
With Kroketballen’s assorted flavors, it’s no surprise that this type is deemed the most popular.  From cheese, chicken, beef, bacon, hotdog, longganisa, pork adobo, mango, and tuyo flakes, all flavors offer an exciting taste with a Filipino twist, especially when paired with the tasty dips. “Our company aims to reach all levels of market A to C, for everyone to enjoy quality, healthy and good food. We never want our products to be intimidating that’s why we came up with a combo meal-- our five pieces mini ballen (P20) and our four pieces mini ballen with the 6.5 oz revitalize 10 or Nutri 10 fresh fruit drink (P35)”, adds Maribel.
Speaking of fresh fruit drink, it’s also amazing to know that these delicious balls are best paired with invigorating fresh fruit juices one can ever imagine! And why not? They’re made of the purest and natural fruit juice minus the white sugar, branded exclusively by Vers En Snel by Kroketten. A Dutch word means fresh and fast, it has two signature thirst quenchers. One is a certified health booster made of mango and guyabano, the Nutri 10 while the other one is made of succulent combo of strawberry and passion fruit called Revita 10. “Since these drinks have no preservative, our health buff habitués can’t surely get enough of it! If one needs an immediate vitamin boost, we recommend the Nutri 10. But if you’re feeling tired and heavy, our Revita 10 gives an instant uplift. “And because of the ever growing demand for this product, we’re also working on bottling these drinks soon so anyone can take with them this healthy beverage”, exclaims Maribel.
These perfectly composed and polished potato balls are also considered a masterpiece without the guilt. The taste is impressive since it offers a snacking experience that is never boring despite its flavorful taste.
Confident about the potential of the product, the company is also open for franchise for a very affordable total investment of P195, 00 (vat exclusive). To date, it operates in twelve malls with Mall of Asia in Pasay coming up very soon. Ultimately, the brand’s international flavor in design with a unique Filipino appeal will surely make history for being the first healthy Dutch potato snack to expand in the country.
Kroketten is located in twelve branches: Festival Mall Alabang, Albang Town Center, GT Tower Makati, Market! Market!, Starmall Edsa Shaw, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Metro East, SM North Edsa, and SM Lipa Batangas. For inquiries on franchising, please call (632) 822-5711 or 09178596623.

Improved customer satisfaction seals AXA’s top industry post

Improved customer satisfaction
seals AXA’s top industry post

Life insurer AXA Philippines is confident it is on track to becoming the preferred company, and one of the dominant players in the local life insurance industry with its heightened focus on customer experience.

In an interview, AXA President and Chief Executive Officer Rien Hermans said as the company started crossing the line in 2010, it recognized that the customer has to be at the centre of attention in everything that AXA does – prompting a change in systems and procedures for customer service and in building up sales.

“Every research is showing that we have succeeded in this and that customers have a more positive experience in their dealings with AXA. There are more repeat sales, better persistency, and increased referrals,” Mr. Hermans said. “These two pillars resulted to two things: 1) sales more than doubled from 2009 to 2011 with compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 45%, and 2) improved customer satisfaction.”

This was the result of the AXA strategy of giving customers what they need by segmenting the market according to the distinct needs of the customers, their behaviours and general insight on insurance.

A survey conducted by AC Nielsen through telephone interviews showed that net customer satisfaction for AXA increased from 70% in 2010 to 75% in 2011. “We did that in a lot of different fields, especially in operations where customers saw changes that gave the impression that they are at the top of what we do. Last year, we ranked as one of the top players in terms of total premium income (TPI).  We broke the P10-billion barrier by giving people what they need,” Mr. Hermans said.

Ariel Magtoto, AXA Customer Experience Head, said that in their most recent Scope survey, AXA Philippines exhibited the greatest improvement in customer scope among the global insurer’s eight Asian operations. Scope is a satisfaction survey conducted annually with AXA customers, distributors, and employees.

“To be preferred, we must ensure that we deliver what our customers truly need, at the minimum. It all starts with listening to what they’re saying and being sensitive to what they’re not saying. We also made every staff realize that everything we do impacts the customer. We created a strong sense of accountability for results,” Mr. Magtoto shared. “By the close of 2011, we set the platform to say that, ‘we are easy to do business with’.”

He added that employees now feel that the company is “more customer-centric, putting customers in the first place” with a marked focus on customers and stronger engagement at AXA Philippines. “The ultimate measures of customer satisfaction are in terms of Likelihood to Recommend, for which we have garnered the highest increase at +27 percentage points, and Intention to Buy More which improved by +29 percentage points.”

AXA has 133,476 individual clients and 160,448 certificate holders of group policies. Of the 130,000 customers, 79,000 have registered their mobile numbers. As for email, AXA already has 12,000 addresses out of its target of 50,000. This paves the way towards more intimate and meaningful customer communications.

Meanwhile, AXA Chief Financial Officer Don San Jose said the company’s net premium in 2011 was P10 billion, net of reinsurance premiums, and its net income at P967 million.

“The top line premium revenue went up by 20% from 2010, and profit went up by 21%. New premiums  was at P7.9 billion, of which P1.2 billion from regular (i.e. recurring) premiums (RP) and P6.7 billion in single premiums (SP). Total regular premiums (new and renewal) of P3.4 billion grew by 21% from P2.7 billion the year before. In terms of total assets, the company grew by almost 10% to P39 billion, of which almost P34 billion are liability funds held for our customers,” Mr. San Jose said.

Mr. Hermans said: “It is important to grow the agency in scale if we are to target 25% CAGR in total new business. We have invested a lot in facilities in the last two years – putting up new branches and renovating the old ones. Our concentration is in the big cities in Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao. We just opened a new office in Davao; and soon, we will open new offices in Cebu as well as in Metro Manila and Southern Luzon.”

AXA also plans to grow its agency force from 1,500 to 1,700 for this year.

The market segmentation that AXA implemented recently is also expected to boost its campaign to reach more clients. “We did a research on what customers think, expect, and the hurdles they face when they purchase life insurance and decide to invest, and we came up with three market segments to better address their needs,” Mr. Hermans explained.

Changes in culture in the people who meet customers, and the recruitment and development of people will make the difference, and “in the end, we may be number one,” added Mr. Hermans. “When I started three years ago, I decided that our priority was to become the most preferred company in the Philippines. The results today show that we have translated our words into action and in giving the right customer service.”

He is optimistic that these will drive the results in the next three years. “We are confident to maintain a stable position in the top of the industry,” Mr. Hermans said.

AXA is prepared for changes in the industry such as possible consolidation of players and the increase in minimum capital, Mr. Hermans said. “There will be consolidation, which, in the end, will be better.  As to the increase in capital, our position on the P1 billion proposal then is clear because we are going through the process already. In order to do this business right, you need to have the right amount of capital.”

The CEO also noted that AXA wants to strengthen its position as a health insurer because its business is in both life and non-life.  “There are a lot of preparations to do for that. Towards the last quarter this year, we will focus on individual products – offering a high level of protection for health – critical illness, hospital income, and surgical benefits,” Mr. Hermans said, adding that it is an opportunity for AXA.

One of the pillars of Avida’s philosophy as a developer is sustainability. By sustainability, we mean a way of life that provides the best living experience to residents without causing harm to nature—and actually preserves nature for the sake of the next generation,” says Dez Cruz, Avida Project Strategic Management Group Head.

Cruz adds that Ridgeview Estates NUVALI is designed to let residents embrace a way of life that promotes their overall well-being.

There is so much excitement and opportunities in the city. But living in a busy urban setting also has its downsides. We are exposed to pollution, heavy traffic, crowding, and many small stresses throughout our day. All of these affect our peace of mind, our physical health and even our emotions.”

Coming home to Ridgeview Estates NUVALI takes us far from those stresses and lets us enjoy peace and quiet. We experience calmness, relaxation and clarity of mind. We can recharge ourselves, mentally, physically and emotionally, so we can prepare for the following day’s challenges.”

Ridgeview Estates NUVALI is less than an hour’s drive from Alabang or Makati. Residents are also given special access to a private road thru Mamplasan Exit. NUVALI also has a transport hub that provides easy access to public transportation.

And while Ridgeview Estates NUVALI reconnects residents to nature, they are never far from the modern conveniences that they’ve become used to in the city. Residents’ everyday needs are also amply provided for because Ridgeview Estates NUVALI is close to schools, hospitals, commercial establishments and offices.
Everything in the community—from the houses, to the amenities and supporting services—is designed for maximum eco-sustainability. The homes in Ridgeview Estates NUVALI are guaranteed to remain at their best as when they first moved in.

Careful planning with focus on sustainability has allotted open spaces for residents to enjoy the benefits of living close to nature. Ridgeview Estates NUVALI is surrounded by trees and verdant landscaping bringing nature right at the residents’ doorsteps.

Residents can also enjoy The Greenway, a unique 10-meter wide pedestrian-friendly amenity strip that traverses thru the entire community where kids and adults can relax and play. It is divided into two zones: the Active Zone which includes a basketball court and the children’s play area, while the the clubhouse and pool area are located at the Social Zone.

There are five house types: Chloe, Daphne, Holly, Iris and Jasmine. The floor areas range from 93 sq. m. to 124 sq. m. with minimum lot areas ranging from 154 sq. m. to 221 sq. m.

Sustainability is something that we can all benefit from. Being aware that we are all a part of nature helps us find our essential connection to our environment. The natural part of our lives--the one that we overlook or even neglect when we’re in the city—is restored to us when we live sustainably. As a result, we are more whole in mind, body and soul,” says Cruz.

The Cold Light of Day: Movie Review

The Cold Light of Day
By: Lakwatsera Lovers

Will Shaw is a Wall Street trader who goes to Spain to have a vacation with his family. While on a yacht an accident happened which leads into a confrontation between him and his father (Bruce Willis). To cool his head up he swim ashore to buy some pain killers but when he came back to the yacht his whole family is missing leaving him clueless on what happened. Soon he discovers that his father is a secret CIA agent and his family was abducted by a group that seeks for a mysterious briefcase. Now it's up to Will to solve the mystery and save his family.

First thanks to Movie Punch for the movie passes. The Cold Light of the Day is an action thriller film that has a mysterious plot with a lot of twist. It will leave you clueless on what would happen next and will keep you thrilled. We can compare this movie to Abduction where there's a lot of running and chases all throughout that  adds to the excitement with some adrenaline rush. Though some of the scenes were too dark and Bruce Willis played a small part. It would been much better if he just teamed up with Cavill to battle the villains. Still it has good scenes specially the car chases that really provided a tension and suspense to the movie.

Overall the movie was still good but maybe a few more good touches should make it much better. A longer time for Bruce Willis maybe should done the trick but still the fast paced story still made the movie enjoyable and exciting. Henry Cavill promising young career played well leaving mark and something to look forward to into his next movies.

Lakwatsera Lovers rates it 5 out of 10 stars

Cast: Henry Cavill, Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver

Singer-composer Myrus releases all-original album titled “Wanted”

Singer-composer Myrus releases
all-original album titled “Wanted”

MYRUS, the sentimental prince of OPM, has finally released his most anticipated second album, titled “Wanted”, under Viva Records this May.

Presented by McJIM Leather, “Wanted” marks the next wave of Myrus’ career as a musical auteur—a brilliant composer, music producer, vocal arranger, and singer rolled into one.

The album is composed of five all-original tracks penned by Myrus himself including his monster radio and Youtube hit single “Pusong Lito” and pop ballads “Sige Na Nga,” “Mahal Kita,” “Ano’ng Kailangan Kong Gawin” and “Sana’y Malaman Mo.”

His collaboration with acoustic artist Princess Velasco for the song classic song “Kanlungan” popularized by Noel Cabangon, which was originally released in the “Tunog Natin: Song From Home” compilation album, is included as a bonus track.

Pusong Lito” is gaining a huge following online; it topped the charts of many radio stations in Greater Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Lucena, Cagayan de Oro, Baguio, Urdaneta, Dagupan, Iloilo, Bacolod, and Cotabato. The song’s rise to popularity was aided by its initial release in over 450 Mang Inasal stores, as part of the Mang Inasal Mang Aawit Music Advocacy Campaign.

“’Wanted’ is the album that embodies who I am as an artist. I am excited to share my music to Original Pilipino Music lovers who are looking for new but distinctly Filipino sound,” he says.

Wanted” reflects Myrus maturity as a singer and composer. It showcases his superb vocal ability—undeniably one of the most talented today—and his capacity to seamlessly marry contemporary musical elements with traditional OPM aesthetics.

Myrus first stepped into the spotlight in 2008 when he released his debut album titled “Love Cycle” under Sony Music. That album, which featured his revival of Claire dela Fuente’s classic jukebox song “Sayang”, was awarded Gold Record status and received the ASAP 24K Award in 2009.

He likewise gained critical acclaim and nominations in the prestigious Awit Awards and the First Philippine Radio Music Awards for the album.

As a composer, Myrus is behind the megahit song “Sa Isang Sulyap Mo” of boy band 1:43 which is currently one of the official soundtracks of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition in ABS-CBN. He also wrote songs for Arnee Hidalgo for the Mang Inasal Mang Aawit music advocacy program and for Mcoy Fundales and Barbie Almalbis for the “Tunog Natin” album.

Fans of Myrus who wish to see him perform live and get an autographed copy of his “Wanted” album are invited to his series of mall shows in various SM Supermalls on May 19 in SM Sucat, May 20 in SM Bacoor, June 2 in SM Molino, June 3 in SM Novaliches, and June 17 in SM Marilao.
