It Takes a Man and a Woman

The Miggy Montenegro and Laida Magtalas love story captivated many hearts in their past two films resulting into this third installment. As of April 9 the movie already grossed over P267 million pesos. The film is close to its third week in the cinemas but the theater is still almost full when we watched it yesterday.
Laida (Sarah Geronimo) and Miggy (John Llyod Cruz) broke up after Miggy cheated in their long distance relationship. When Laida returns in the Philippines she was asked by Miggy's Brother Art (Rowell Santiago) to help the company to get a deal with a popular publishing company in the US. But these won't be easy as the two must stand and work together while settling their differences in the past.
The movie manages to combine the two formulas of the first two films. The first half was filled with cute scenes including some fun debates from the two while the other half revolves around in the dramatic side. It also shows the characters grew in the hardships they encountered in their relationship. The Sarah and John Llyod chemistry is pretty decent as it gives the audience something to look forward each time you'll see them on the big screen. They both deliver something that the people will love and which they can easily relate into.
John Llyod Cruz is still unbeatable as a male lead star as his movie is always successful in the box office no matter who he has paired with. Sarah Geronimo on the other hand is leveled up her talent in acting making her more likable and lovable at the same time. The supporting cast also performed well especially the super friends (Gio Alvarez, Joross Gamboa and Matet De Leon) which really funny at all times.
Overall It Takes a Man and a Woman is a great conclusion to this inspiring love story. No wonder if we see them once again for the 4th installment as there are some reports that it can happen if there's a good script. For us we want to see these love-team once again but we think they should start another movie with another story.
